§ 6-71. Definitions.

  • The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings provided in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Apartment means a building containing three or more separate dwelling units.

    Duplex means a building containing two separate dwelling units.

    Dwelling unit means one or more rooms which are used or intended for use as living quarters for one or more persons. For purposes of this article, a "boardinghouse" is considered one dwelling unit.

    Fraternity, sorority means a building that is intended or designed to be occupied as a residence for a group of more than five members and recognized as a chartered chapter by a national or international organization or society.

    Keg means containers designed for and capable of holding 12 or more gallons of malt beverages containing not less than one-half of one percent of alcohol by weight.

    Vehicle means any automobile, truck, bus, trailer, camper or motor home.

    Yard means the space on a lot extending along a lot line between such lot line and the dwelling unit occupying such lot.
