§ 34-46. Deferred compensation plan for volunteer firefighters.

(a)

There is continued as previously established in the city, a deferred compensation program for the volunteer firefighters of the city.

(b)

The deferred compensation program for the volunteer firefighters of the city is referred to as the "Brookings Volunteer Firefighters Deferred Compensation Plan" ("the plan").

(c)

The plan, and any modifications thereto, shall be approved by resolution of the city council.

(d)

The plan was initially financed by a transfer of the assets of the deferred compensation plan of the Brookings Volunteer Firefighters Association, Inc. to the Brookings Volunteer Firefighters Deferred Compensation Plan.
