§ 26-311. Definitions.

  • The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings provided in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Temporary merchant means any person, firm, company, corporation, partnership or association, or agent thereof, who establishes a temporary business offering wholesale or retail goods for sale in an outdoor location.

    Transient merchant means any person, whether a resident of this city or not, traveling from place to place, from house to house, or from street to street, by foot or by any vehicle, for the purpose of selling or soliciting for sale goods, wares, inventory, merchandise or services, other than agricultural products produced or processed in this state. The term "transient merchant" includes the terms "peddler" and "solicitor."
